Join other Twin Cities and Minnesota educators for three days of environmental learning and sharing at the Plank Summer Institute, June 26-28, 2018. This opportunity is made possible by a generous gift from Blake alumnus Mr. Raymond Plank.
Plank Institute and Blake Service Learning Directors Nan Peterson and Lisa Sackreiter and Edina Public Schools Service Learning Coordinator Julie Rogers Bascom will facilitate conversations and arrange visits to metro-based organizations focused on nature, human relationships with the natural world, and environmental protection. Active learning experiences will include dialogue with area environmental experts, field trips (including some hands-in-dirt service) and reflection.
Teachers, administrators and staff from public, private, charter and independent schools across all academic disciplines and levels are welcome to participate. There is no registration fee, and meals, materials and bus transportation will be provided at no cost to participants.
To apply, fill out an online application. Contact Nan, Lisa or Julie at the links below with any questions.
