2022 Reunion Postcard

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 6

Golden Bears Luncheon

Start your reunion weekend at this intimate luncheon for longtime friends and alumni from the classes of 1945 to our newest Golden Bears, the class of 1972. Share favorite memories from school days past and catch up on each other’s lives today. Head of School Dr. Anne Stavney will welcome you and share a brief update on the school. Also, the Upper School’s a cappella choir will perform. All luncheon attendees will receive a commemorative Golden Bears pin representing alumni celebrating a 50th or greater reunion.

THE TAKE ON BLAKE: WHAT'S ALL THE EXCITEMENT ABOUT PHYSICS AT BLAKE?

Join Blake’s physics department for an hour of learning. The program will start with an overview from PK-12 Science Department Chair Maren Anderson on how physics is taught today, the exciting electives available to students and the department’s priorities. Then you will head off to a physics classroom to see how science has transformed from when you were a student. Interact with other alumni and students while taking part in interactive, experimental hands-on demonstrations.

Northrop Campus Tour

Experience a step back in time and a leap into the future as you explore this beautiful building, which incorporates modern renovations, such as the Ankeny Center for Science, Design and Research, while retaining its historic character. While much has changed throughout its 100-plus years, the Northrop campus continues to positively impact learning and teaching. The tour will be led by former faculty member Jan Woolman.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 7

BREAKFAST AT BLAKE: REUNION EDITION

The reunion edition of our popular Breakfast at Blake speaker series will feature our 2022 Outstanding Alumna of the Year Cathy Countryman Maes ʼ85. This year’s Jenny Stephens Hagen Spirit Award recipients Chris Anderson Morrison ʼ65 and Jack Morrison ʼ63 will also be recognized. A complimentary breakfast will be served.

Blake Campus Tour

Exciting changes have taken place at the Hopkins campus! Come see the transformation of our oldest campus while revisiting familiar spaces. Check out the new Entry Hall, refurbished MacMillan Performing Arts Center and Dining Commons. The future meets the past on our present-day walk through campus.

25th Reunion HAPPY HOUR
BLAKE CLASS OF 1997

A quarter century deserves a celebration! Join your fellow classmates at a private reception to mark this milestone reunion. Reminisce, catch up and share some laughs with the people who knew you when while enjoying complimentary refreshments.

50th REUNION DINNER
BLAKE AND NORTHROP CLASSES OF 1972

Time flies and you're sure to have fun at this reception and dinner celebrating your milestone 50th class reunion. Reconnect with your friends and classmates, sit back, relax and remember past times shared together. Head of School Dr. Anne Stavney will welcome you and share remarks.

ALUMNI ON THE TERRACE

All alumni are invited to reunite with friends and classmates, partake in a complimentary buffet and watch the football game. Dress in your favorite Bear Wear for this casual event. A cash bar will be available.

Homecoming Game

Cheer on the Wolfpack—Blake’s co-op football team with Minnehaha Academy and St. Paul Academy—to a homecoming victory against Richfield.

PARTY IN THE COURTYARD

A new attraction at last year's Homecoming celebration, this party features the Twin Cities' premier dance band Soul Tight Committee. All Blake community members are invited. A cash bar will be available.
