Thursday, Jan. 20, 7:30-9am
Location: Blake campus, Bovey Chapel
Blake welcomed visiting Philip Otis Environmental Author Elizabeth Rush to campus in January. A creative non-fiction professor at Brown University and author of the Pulitzer Prize finalist book "Rising: Dispatches from a New American Shore," Rush writes about the language and realities of climate change. Having spent time in vulnerable communities on U.S. coastlines and in Asia, she addressed what we might learn from those living on climate change's front lines about the future we share. Her presentation was titled "On Rising Together: Creative and Collective Responses to the Climate Crisis."
