VolunteerĀ Opportunities: HelpĀ Launch Summer at LearningWorks!

Each summer, 145 middle school students and 40 college student-teaching fellows bring together the LearningWorks at Blake program. We launch middle school students on their path to college and can't do it without support from our volunteers. Here's how you can help:

1. Fresh Fruit Fridays: Each Friday, LW supporters provide a fresh fruit treat for all 147 LearningWorks students (and, optionally, our 40 teachers). This treat is an LW favorite, and students frequently say it's the best part of Friday. Sign up here

2. Welcome Baskets: Volunteers purchase and assemble welcome baskets for our 10 out-of-town teaching fellows. The teachers live in dorm housing each summer and are in need of basic household items and non-perishable food as they settle into their summer home. Sign up here

3. Summer Teaching Fellow Dinner: Each summer, our teaching fellows run whole-community events like conferences where they are expected to stay at LW through dinner. We need volunteers to provide dinner for 40 teaching fellows and staff (think pizza and salad, or catered sandwiches and chips) on Wednesday, June 19 and Thursday, July 11. Sign up here

4. Celebration Volunteers: We host a family potluck and student performance event at the end of the summer and are in need of folks to set up and clean up at this amazing event on Friday, August 2. Sign up here
