Blake Honors Olympic Champion on Home Ice

Blake honored Olympic champion Dani Cameranesi '13 in a pre-game ceremony when the Blake girls' hockey team hosted the Blaine Bengals at the Blake Ice Arena in Hopkins. Cameranesi stayed for the game to take photos, talk with fans and sign autographs.

At Blake, Cameranesi was a five-year letter winner, named 2013 Ms. Hockey and led her team to two state championships (2009, 2013). She was named four times to the All State Team. Her Blake career includes 141 games, 201 goals and 165 assists. She served as team captain and was a student leader on and off the ice.

Cameranesi went on to play for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers. In her first year, she was named National Rookie of the Year, scored a goal in the national championship game and won the first of three national titles. As a Gopher, she made 93 goals and 108 assists.

As a member of the U.S. Women's National Team, Cameranesi played in the 2018 Olympic Winter Games, where her team defeated Canada in the gold medal game. Cameranesi recorded three goals and two assists in five Olympic games, tying the team lead for points.

Cameranesi currently plays for the Buffalo Beauts in the National Women's Hockey League.
