If you could go back in time, what year would you travel to?
If I could go back in time, I would go back to the year 2001, the year I studied abroad during my junior year of college at the University of Kansas. I was fortunate to study in both Florence, Italy and Paris, France. This is where I learned quickly how adrenaline-filled, empowering and liberating the feeling of travel could be. I also visited Germany, Portugal, Spain and Switzerland.

If you could visit any place in the world, where would you choose to go and why?
The one place that is top on my list is Africa. More specifically, I would love to go on an African safari. Aside from the obvious love of wildlife and beautiful landscapes, I would love to experience the authentic African culture. Watching Lion King sunrises and sunsets would be a bonus. But mostly I would like to go and give my support to protecting the future of the lands and animals.

What’s your dream job?
My dream job would be to travel the world with my family and to report back on our experiences with various hotels, spas, restaurants and locations. To be able to do this on someone else’s budget would be amazing. Traveling is something I really enjoy. It takes me out of my comfort zone and inspires me to see, taste and try new things. The first place I would want to go to would be Africa on a safari.

If your life were a book, what would it be titled?
If my life were a book it would be a cookbook, and I think I would call it “Together.” Some of my fondest memories are with family and friends at the dinner table laughing, sharing and connecting. I love cooking and baking. I really love eating, and I especially love being with my family and friends.

What are your three favorite smells?
My three favorite smells are flowers, specifically lilacs, cinnamon rolls fresh out of the oven and bonfires. I have fond memories of making May Day baskets filled with lilacs and dropping them at neighbors houses when I was little. Cinnamon rolls with peanut butter are one of my top special treats. (Don't knock it before you try it.) Sitting by a bonfire with family or friends pretty much anytime but especially after a day of skiing is my favorite.

What is your idea of a fruitful day?
I would start my day out at my favorite yoga class followed by a walk with my dog and husband before we head out to lunch. Then I would love to be with the kids at the cabin out on the boat followed by a BBQ outside on the deck. As cliche as it sounds, I would finish the day out by a bonfire with friends roasting s’mores and looking at the stars.
