Laura Mark

What is the most important room in your home?
The family room. The best part of any evening is having the time and space for my whole family to be together.

How would your friends describe you?
Loud. Having a loud voice served me very well during my lacrosse coaching days at Blake. But my friends at school used to kid me about being able to hear me anywhere on campus.

Aside from necessities, what is one thing could you not go a day without?
Coffee!

What's your favorite family tradition?
Skating on Christmas morning. My family is Canadian and this is something we have done for as long as I can remember. This year my kids are excited to have our own backyard rink to skate on.

What’s the last movie you went to see?
Sing 2! My 7-year-old and I both loved it.

What is something you learned in the last week?My 6th grader is a lover of facts, so I learn new things all the time. This week I learned that if you leave a footprint on the face of the moon, it will never be erased because there is no wind on the moon’s surface.

If you are outside, what are you most likely doing?
Walking our yellow lab, Kirby. He's my motivation to get outdoors even when it's below zero..

If you could have an endless supply of any food, what would you get?
Popcorn. It’s the perfect anytime of day snack. I can eat a whole bag in one sitting — just ask my colleagues.
