BMB student volunteers at Every Meal

During Breakthrough Minneapolis at Blake’s (BMB) November Super Saturday session, Blake families joined BMB seventh and eighth graders and faculty to volunteer at EveryMeal. Over a fun two hours, our group packed 11,545 meals for students across our region to take home on weekends and over breaks if needed.

At the same time, ninth grade Breakthrough Leadership students visited Appetite for Change to learn how this organization uses food as a tool to build health, wealth and social change in North Minneapolis. Students learned how to cook a healthy snack and planted seeds to grow in their winter greenhouse.

What an amazing day! Special thank you to BMB students who asked to complete a community service project and to the Blake families who joined us for a meaningful day of learning and impact.
