When Finn-Olaf Jones ʼ82 reached the top of the world’s tallest mountain, his sense of accomplishment was accompanied by a wave of relief. Mount Everest was the one peak the elite climber had attempted but hadn’t conquered.
Come explore what your child can become at Blake! We look forward to helping you discover more about Blake’s exceptional program and warm, inclusive school community. Blake offers an excellent education grounded in shared values—respect, love of learning, integrity, courage and commitment to pluralism. Blake students become lifelong learners who make lasting contributions to the world. They develop the habits of mind that enable them to think critically, solve problems, empathize, create and make the world better.
Blake enrolls approximately 175 new students each year. Most enroll at our entry points (pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, grade four, grade six and grade nine), while a smaller set enroll in other grades. Space in grades one and two is based solely on attrition and admission is only available if currently enrolled families choose not to return to Blake for the following school year. About 25% of new students receive need-based financial assistance.
Our admissions team looks forward to helping you learn what your child can become at Blake. Team members are available to talk with you via phone or Zoom call, answer your questions and offer you an on-campus tour of our Lower School, Middle School or Upper School campuses (tours start in October!). To sign up for a tour, register for an event and apply for admission, please create a Blake Admissions Portal account here.
