Senior Gift kickoff class of 2021

The class of 2021 has officially kicked off its senior class giving program! The senior class giving program is a proud tradition in which the graduating class begins their legacy through a gift to the school, demonstrating their pride and spirit as they become the newest members of Blake’s alumni community.

Led by a committee of five seniors (see below), the class of 2021 has chosen to address disproportions in education exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic by asking every senior to make a gift to LearningWorks, Blake’s private-public partnership with Minneapolis Public Schools dedicated to preparing youth for success in high school and college.

The senior class gift will fund LearningWorks care packages containing supplies needed for this summer’s program. Each care package averages $50, but gifts of any amount are impactful and will assist in building kits utilized by LearningWorks students.

The class of 2021 is striving for 100% class participation, or 135 senior donors, and looking forward to seeing how many care packages they can fund!
