As we experience unprecedented challenges in protecting human and child rights in our local communities, it can be difficult for adult leaders and educators to feel hopeful and energized. Young people have creativity, courage, fresh perspectives and more to bring to the table. Investment in youth development, mentoring, leadership training, partnerships and other inclusion opportunities is essential to building a more just and compassionate future, a future shaped by youth voice.

Join us in hearing from youth leaders about their work and visions of the future as well as organizations that include and support youth and youth leadership and resources for adults who want to partner with youth.

Established over 40 years ago through a generous endowment gift from Raymond Plank, Blake School class of 1940, the Plank Summer Institute brings together educators and local business and industry leaders to learn from one another. All pre-kindergarten to post-secondary educators in public, private and nonprofit settings are welcome to apply. There is no registration or application fee, and meals, materials and bus transportation are provided at no cost to participants. Register for one, two, or all three days by Friday, May 1 or until spaces are filled.

Treat yourself to the Plank Summer Institute for Educators and invite other educators in your network to do the same!
