The purpose of College Counseling is to help students realize their goals for continued studies while helping them to make a good match. Although the college admission process is often perceived to be highly stressful, our belief is that through education, self-knowledge, and access to our staff’s professional resources, Blake students can take ownership of the process.

Family Connection
Blake College Counseling utilizes a web based program called Family Connection to help students manage their college search process. Family Connection allows students to manage their college process, keep track of application deadlines, keep a journal, research colleges, manage their applications, and access the Common Application, College Board, and ACT online.
Students receive information about their Family Connection account during College Seminar. Students who have lost their access code or password should contact the College Counseling staff for assistance.
