Warm Up This Winter With Blake Student (and Parent) Service Programs

Our counseling staff provides individual counseling and group facilitation to students as well as parent education. Our counselors connect to students where they are socially in the school environment in an effort to equip them with social and emotional skills they need to navigate the terrain.

Our learning specialists offer individual and small group work, in collaboration with faculty, to children with diagnosed learning differences. In addition, our learning specialists can assist parents in identifying tutoring support outside of the classroom and work closely with faculty to determine best strategies in the classroom setting for all students.

Our visiting registered nurses from the Minneapolis and Hopkins school districts assist in the care of minor incidents, communication to parents on behalf of students, immunization administration and medical health action plans.

Currently, we are working on enhancing our support to students through:
parent education presentations and workshops
faculty education offerings
assistive technology
streamlining through divisions

Our goal is to support the healthy development of Blake students and families. We hope you and your children enjoyed this winter break and have returned to us in good spirit and health.
