Blake — Talk it Up!

The Admissions staff has already set sights on recruitment for fall 2012. As you know, Blake seeks and supports students whose ability and promise suggest they will thrive in the School’s challenging academic environment. We admit students who like to wonder and ask questions, who appreciate diversity and who will be comfortable taking risks while pursuing their passions and talents.

Each year our annual admission survey of prospective families highlights the fact that the vast majority of interest in Blake occurs via word-of-mouth. I remain convinced that the power of community connection — especially parent ambassadorship — is, perhaps, our most valuable recruitment tool.

As the Admissions team continues with its fall planning, I encourage you to consider your role as a Blake parent ambassador. Some simple ways to actively serve as an ambassador might include: sharing your Blake experience with family members and friends; inviting colleagues and associates to Blake events; volunteering at admission open houses; and encouraging those who ask you about Blake to contact the Admissions Office at (952) 988-3420.

Thank you for all that you do to keep our learning community vibrant and thriving!
