2011–12 Parent Association Leadership Nominations Due

Believe it or not we are already thinking about and planning for the next school year and Parent Association events, programs and priorities. As we hopefully have made clearer this year than ever before, it takes ALL Blake parents to make so many of the great opportunities for our children happen at Blake.

The first step in planning involves identifying leaders within the community who can help organize and implement our programs — both division-specific and all-school. On the all-school level, the Parent Association leadership consists of both elected and appointed positions and steering committee chairs — these are individuals who exhibit interest and have some form of prior experience in specific activities. We would love to hear from you if you are interested in a leadership position. Or, if not this year, perhaps next? The vice chair positions and president-appointed positions are great ways to learn more and get your feet wet in preparation for leading the charge in the subsequent school year.

2011 – 12 Parent Association-elected leadership nominations are due now! The Parent Association Nominating Committee will meet in December to consider next year’s parent leadership nominations.
