Blake Parent Association
Welcome Parent Association 2009-10 members! As a Blake parent, you are automatically a member of the School's Parent Association. I encourage you to join the fun, attend the monthly divisional meetings, and get involved in any number of volunteer opportunities. Choose an activity or event that meets your schedule and your interests. There is something for everyone, including, but not limited to, Lower School Literacy Fest, Middle School social events and family service, Upper School athletic events and senior graduation party, as well as All-School events such as Legacy Day, Homecoming and the beloved Blake Classic, which I am delighted to say returns to the Blake Ice Arena on May 1, 2010.
Please take a moment to look through our pages. You'll find the PA committees and leadership at each division, the meeting schedules, and the Parent Association Bylaws. The bylaws provide details about the goals and structure of the organization, and job descriptions for a number of our leadership positions. Your time and expertise are greatly appreciated, and we want to get to know you better. So please…get involved!

Statement of Membership and Purpose
All Blake parents are members of The Blake School Parent Association. The purpose of the Association is to advance, through parent involvement, the stated mission and core values of The Blake School. Our goals are to promote a sense of community among the parents of our school, to provide a strong communication link between the parent body and the school (faculty, administration and trustees), to provide the school with support in the classroom and with assistance in administrative tasks and school activities; and to fund the budget of the Parent Association in order to support Parent Association activities and to provide enhancements to The Blake School for which funds are not provided in The Blake School's budget.
Structure
The Parent Association is organized by a Steering Committee of elected officers and an Executive Committee which is comprised of those elected officers and, in addition, a number of appointed all-school committee chairs. Four School Committees organize the activities and programs on the four campuses of the school: Upper School, Middle School, Lower School Blake Campus and Lower School Highcroft Campus.
