MIDDLE SCHOOL CONFERENCES
THURSDAY & FRIDAY, MARCH 1 & MARCH 2, 2012

Dear Middle School Parents:

The third marking period of the 2011-2012 school year will end March 16, which means it is soon time for spring conferences. We will be holding conferences prior to the end of the quarter, which will enable the teacher, parents, and students to plan any changes that are necessary for improvement before the final grade is calculated, as well as to discuss plans for continued progress in the fourth quarter. Twenty five minute conferences will be scheduled for Thursday, March 1 from 5:00 p.m. through 8:30 p.m. and Friday, March 2 from 9:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m.

Conferences will be held with the advisor, who will provide a broad overview of academic progress in each area of the curriculum, as well as any other pertinent data about your son or daughter. Please be sure to have your son or daughter attend the conference with you. Since we have all of the conferences scheduled for March 1 and March 2, it will be difficult for you to meet with teachers other than the advisor. If you do need to talk to another teacher, please contact them at their direct number to set up a conversation.

We are asking you to fill in your first, second and third choice for conference times, as well as any other times you would be available by February 1. Every effort will be made to accommodate your first choice. Times will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis. A form should be filled out for each of your Middle School students. A confirmation of your time will be sent to you at least two weeks before conferences. We are hoping the evening time slots on March 1st accommodate families with two working parents, so if you can offer us times during the day on March 2nd please do so in the comment box.
