The Preview
Premiering for the 12th sequel, the Hollywood Classic 2010 is The Blake School’s biennial all-school fundraiser. On Saturday, May 1, at 6:00 p.m., we will set the stage for tomorrow’s stars by raising funds to further enhance the educational experience of those stars, our children. The Blake Ice Arena will be the venue - transformed into a Hollywood Awards set for a gala evening of cocktails and camaraderie, dining and dancing. We’ll celebrate together as we do good for our school and students.
The Cast of Characters
The Classic brings together a powerful and colorful cast of characters including parents, faculty and staff, alums and friends of Blake. This committed group works with the Administration and Advancement Office to stage the evening. Parents, Administration, faculty, staff, alums and friends of Blake all pitch in to orchestrate the event providing auction items, in kind donations, underwriting, creativity and elbow grease.

The Backers
Sponsored in partnership with Blake and the Blake Parent Association, the Hollywood Classic Committee works to solicit auction items for online and live auctions, in kind donations and underwriting. Dedication and hours of hard work combine to make it happen. Help is needed from all who support The Blake School and its mission.
The Audience
Publicity and media surrounding the Classic reaches an influential group of individuals. The Blake community includes leaders and active citizens from throughout the Twin Cities community and beyond. This dynamic group gathers together to celebrate the importance of education and to validate their belief in the of the School’s work.
600 guests will attend the evening event while over 4000 viewers will have visibility to the online auction and promotional materials. Your generosity will be celebrated and appreciated throughout the event with a variety of methods of recognition.
The Box Office
The Classic has a proven track record of impacting the School community. From the money for the purchase of computers and software, supporting the construction of the Aamoth Memorial Stadium, and providing funds for a typical Blake experience for those students who have financial limitations, the gifts of the Classic make a true difference in the life of Blake. More than ever, in this challenging economic time, we need a blockbuster event to keep the high standards our students deserve.
