Frequently Asked Questions

What gifts count toward the campaign?
Excellence Accelerated is a comprehensive campaign, which means that it includes gifts to the Annual Fund from fiscal year 2014 through fiscal year 2018, as well as directed gifts to the endowment priorities and capital projects that are outlined in the campaign priorities. Please use the campaign gift calculator to consider how you can give.

How can I make a gift?
Blake accepts gifts online, by mail or over the phone. We also accept stock transfers. Please remember that you can take your time in making a campaign gift by considering a multi-year pledge.

Is the Annual Fund part of the Comprehensive Campaign?
Yes. Excellence Accelerated: The Campaign for Blake is a comprehensive campaign, which means it includes all gifts made to the annual fund, the endowment or selected capital projects beginning July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2018. Therefore, any gift made to the annual fund will count toward each family's total campaign contribution.

It is important to remember, however, that the campaign and the annual fund support separate and distinct areas of the school. The campaign is an intensive, multi-year fundraising effort to secure gifts and pledges to provide for physical improvements, faculty professional development and student financial assistance. The annual fund is an integral part of our annual operating budget. Upon receipt, annual fund contributions are immediately put towards our most pressing needs and operational costs.

It is critical to the success of the campaign and to the daily workings of the school that every family includes the annual fund as part of their overall campaign contribution.

How will my gift be recognized?
All donors will be recognized in our annual report published each year. Total gifts of $50,000 or more will be included on our Excellence Accelerated donor wall.

Are there naming opportunities available?
There are many opportunities within the campaign to include your name, or to honor someone with a named space or endowment fund. Our naming microsite will provide a complete visual overview of the opportunities available.
