Isaac Anderson '06 signs with Washington Redskins (Football: Boys Varsity)
The Washington Redskins signed wide receiver Isaac Anderson as an undrafted rookie free agent on Monday, Aug.1, 2011. Anderson is a 2006 graduate of The Blake School and played NCAA Division I football for the Wisconsin Badgers from 2006-2010. While a Badger, Anderson accumulated 1,048 career receiving yards and two touchdowns as a four-year letter-winner. Anderson set individual-game career highs in receiving yards (114) and all-purpose yards (150) in a game against the Minnesota Gophers on November 15, 2008.
As a Blake Bear, Anderson had impressive career statistics including 102 receptions for 2,160 yards and 35 touchdowns. He also totaled 405 rushing yards, five interceptions, five kickoff returns for touchdowns and one punt return for a touchdown. Anderson was a tri-sport letter-winner for the Bears, also competing in basketball and track.
The Washington Redskins opened training camp on Saturday, July 30 at Redskins Park in Ashburn, Va. They have scheduled preseason games against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Indianapolis Colts, Baltimore Ravens and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Redskins open regular season play against the New York Giants on Sunday, Sept. 11 at FedEx Field in Landover, Md.
