We want students, parents and friends to be aware that parking restrictions on the Hopkins campus — specifically in the athletic parking lot (by the Aamoth stadium) — have been and will continue to be enforced by the Hopkins Police. There have been a growing number of vehicles parked illegally in fire lanes and entrance/exit lanes which is a direct violation of Hopkins ordinance #2006-0012. Cars parked in no parking zones, on curbs, in the ditches, etc. represent a hazard to all cars coming and going as well as for emergency vehicles.
If you come to the athletic lot and it is full, keep in mind the north lot (off of Excelsior Boulevard, where Blake buses are often parked) is another parking option, as is the main south lot at the end of the driveway, near the Lower School. The Aamoth stadium and varsity fields remain within easy walking distances from both these lots.
Please help us keep the athletic lot safe for all.
