Blake was the only Minnesota school recently named among the best private day schools in the nation by TheBestSchools.org. The ranking is based on academic excellence, diversity of the student body, opportunities to connect with the world and a variety of additional factors such as student satisfaction and quality of faculty and facilities.

School historian Jan Woolman recently visited the home of the original Blake School for boys. Now a private residence, Woolman says it is still easy to imagine a crowd of boys bursting into the entry hall on school mornings.
The Board of Trustees recently approved plans for a new Center for Science, Design and Research at Blake's Upper School. Construction is scheduled to begin this spring and will be completed by the start of next school year.
