A spectacular evening of champions, generosity and community came together on May 5, 2012, at the biennial all-school fundraiser, The Derby Classic. Thanks to all who gave so much to make the event a runaway success.
In celebration of all he has done for The Blake School during his tenure as Head of School, the week of April 29–May 5, 2012, was officially observed as JOHN GULLA WEEK at Blake.
Blake students, alumni, staff (current and former), families and all friends are invited to join us for a farewell open house celebrating Head of School John Gulla, Friday, June 1 on the Blake (Hopkins) campus.
Blake families will have several opportunities to experience a cultural exchange through hosting in the 2012-13 school year.
This year the textbook buyback program offers two options for our families: donate used textbooks to benefit financial aid or use EZ Drop to return books for a refund.

The Upper School robotics team competed this past March in the FIRST Robotics 10,000 Lakes Regional Competition, Rebound Rumble, at the University of Minnesota.
Nick Rathmann, a teacher and multi-sport coach at Blake, has been named Blake's next athletic director. He will assume his new role on July 1.

Blake's Middle School sponsored a screening of the documentary Finding Kind on February 13. Finding Kind is a movie for parents and students (girls and boys) about growing up as girls, and how to find a common ground of kindness and mutual respect, and to push back against bullying. Learn more here.
