Political Action (Black and White Silver Print)

Political Action (Black and White Silver Print)

I struggled a lot with this photo because of the amount of light in the background. When taking the picture I was facing the light so when I was developing I continued to have problems with the contrast. The faces of the people would get too dark while the background would get too much light. I liked the way this photo looked though so that’s why I continued to work on it. I like how Jeff Hayden is in mid-speech when the picture was taken, it shows him in action. I also like the seriousness of the girl on the far right. It also shows determination. The man in the middle brings the picture together with his Obama shirt and his facial expression. It is a good balance of emotions.
