Biography

JJ has been a teacher since 1984. She has taught in the Cherry Creek District of suburban Denver, Christ the King School (now Carondelet) in Minneapolis, Belleville Township High School East in southern Illinois, and at Blake. She is also a reader for AP Spanish.
JJ has led the Gay Straight Alliance at the Blake Upper School since 2000. She has presented on the importance of GLBT support and advocacy at the ISACS (Independent Schools of the Central States) national conference, the MISF (Minnesota Independent School Forum) conference and is a member of the host committee for the National Gay and Lesbian Taskforce's annual Creating Change conference, Minneapolis, 2011.
JJ has taught Spanish at Blake since 1998, and she is the proud mother of two Blake alumni.
