Andrew Borene '94 was recently named a Presidential Management Fellowship finalist. Graduating University of Minnesota Law School student, Andrew Borene '94, was selected as a finalist for a Presidential Management Fellowship. The nonpolitical fellowship award program was designed to "attract into federal service outstanding individuals from a wide variety of academic disciplines who have an interest in, and commitment to, a career in the analysis and management of public policies and programs." The two-year paid fellowships place finalists into management positions at federal government agencies. Borene said he is "thrilled and surprised to have learned of [his] selection, given the intensity of the selection process and the quality of the other applicants." He expects to search for potential placements that match his policy interests in national security, diplomacy and international business development.
