Upjohn Runs at State

 Blake Bear's senior harrier David Upjohn ran as an individual in the State cross country tournament 5K race. Upjohn placed 28th overall in a time of 16:55 for 5k.
After finishing 10th in the State Tournament in 2004 the boys' team has finished third in the Section 4A Meet for the past two years. Since only the top two teams and the top ten individuals advance to the tournament Upjohn's teammates were relegated to the edge of the course to cheer David on.
Other members of the 2006 Blake Bears boys' cross country team are seniors Max Fritz, Michael Lee, Mason Smith and Ray Carlson, sophomores Stewart Richardson and Ben Jones, freshman Paul Koullick along with seventh grader Brandon Clark.
