2005-2006 Nordic Skiing Preview

The 2005-2006 Nordic Bears are looking forward to an exciting and competitive season. For the first time in the team's history, the girl's team is recognized as team that should score well at Conference and Section meets. The top four skiers score (from a team of seven) in each event, Classic and Skate, for a combined team score.
The team is led by seniors Elle Peterson (captain) and Anne Stake (All Conference), along with returning state competitor junior Claire Richardson.
The team is deep with talent as sophomore Emily Moos (just missed All Conference Honors last year with one month of experience) returns, along with excellent technique skiers and returning letter winners Brittany Hulbert, Molly Hayssen, Louise Winslow, and Laura Christianson. Renee Jensen, a first time skier last year (and fast learner); will compete at the Varsity level as well.
The boys’ team, led by John Abbett (captain) has higher expectations as well, as they should finish in the middle of the Tri-Metro Standings. The team has five solid skiers, all of which will be skiing for All Conference Honors including Ray Carlson, Jonathan Hirsch, Michael Lee, and Dan Lidral Porter.
