Blake's #1 doubles team of Junior Mary Allen and Senior Kirsten Seeland took second place in the Section 4A Tennis Tournament with a tough loss to Mounds Park Academy 6-2, 7-6; but advance to the State Tournament by reaching the section finals.
In singles play, Sophomore Tess Perese and Junior Kelsey Atherton both reached the section quarterfinals as well as the doubles team of Senior Captain Jamie McLaughlin and Junior Claire Brown. Blake was the Section 4A Runner-Up in team play.
The team of Allen and Seeland will commence State Tournament play October 24th at the Reed-Sweatt Tennis Center.
