Blake Girls' Hockey Team Advances to Section Finals

The Blake Girls' Hockey Team defeated Richfield 9-0 on Tuesday, February 12th to advance to the Section 5A Finals and a chance to return to the state tournament. The Bears blanked Richfield by scoring three goals in each period. Sara Cole and Sally Komarek each scored two goals in the game.
The Bears will play conference rival Breck in the Section 5A Final on Saturday, February 16th at 5pm at the Parade Ice Gardens. Blake and Breck have met twice this season ending with a 1-1 tie on January 3rd and a 2-1 Blake victory on February 3rd. Blake is undefeated this season with a record of 23-0-3.
The winner of the Section 5A game will begin play in the Minnesota State High School League State Tournament on February 20th at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, MN.
