A Quarterfinals: Sister Act

It was deja vu all over again as #1 Blake beat #8 Breck 4-0 for the third time this year. The only difference was Wednesday's win came during the quarterfinals of the Girls' State Hockey Tournament at the Xcel Energy Center. And two sets of sisters did most of the damage.

1A Semifinals: Blake is Back

Blake has been here before. In fact, they were State Champions in 2003. But few players on the 2006-07 squad had little to do with that win. With that said, this Bears team is getting things done. And they did it again in the semifinals Friday, beating Hibbing/Chisholm, 4-1.

1A Championship: Chute-Out

Chute's decision to shoot netted more than a goal... it brought a state title. Katherine Chute finished off a gorgeous end-to-end rush with the eventual game winning goal early in the 3rd period, as Blake skated past Farmington 2-1 in the Class A championship game at the Girls' State Hockey Tournament.
