Stewart Davis Commits to Wesleyan University

The Blake School is proud to announce that Stewart Davis '08 has committed to attend Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT in the fall of 2008 and will play football for the Wesleyan Cardinals. Davis earned All Tri-Metro Conference recognition and was Captain of the Blake football team. As a two-way starter, Davis anchored the defensive secondary and led the team in rushing yards and touchdowns his senior year. In the Sectional Playoff game against Minneapolis Roosevelt, Davis rushed for a career high 215 yards on 30 carries. Wesleyan University is a member of the New England Small College Athletic Conference and the "Little Three" football rivalry which includes Williams and Amherst. The NESCAC is considered the oldest conference in the nation and includes Middlebury, Trinity, Tufts, Bowdoin, Colby, Hamilton and Bates College.
Davis is also the Captain of the Blake Basketball Team and received All-Conference Tri-Metro recognition during the 2006-07 season. Davis set the Blake single season record for 3 pt. shooting and finished the season ranked in the Top 10 in the State of Minnesota with 62 - 3pt. FG made. Davis has a 3.4 grade point average.
