Pucksters Lend a Helping Hand

On Wednesday January 9th, the Blake boys' hockey team completed a community service project helping out at the Ronald McDonald House. The team spent the afternoon removing, packing, and storing holiday decorations displayed in the facility; a project that would have taken staff members several days. The team values community service and making a difference in the lives of others. This is the second consecutive year that the team has helped with this post holiday project.

The Ronald McDonald House is located near the University of Minnesota and provides residential space for up to 48 families of children receiving significant medical treatment at the University Hospital.

The Blake boys' hockey team also spent Saturday January 19th volunteering their time at the Blake Basketball Carnival. Team members helped facilitate contests, organize interactive games, and serve in concessions. Several players also donned the "Blake Bear" costume and entertained children at the event.
