Blake boys fall in opener

The Blake School boys basketball team lost its season opener to Minneapolis Edison 77-50 Friday night.
The Bears were within one point, 30-29, at halftime before the Tommies pulled away.
Jerrett Williams led the Bears' attack with 13 points, while David Nash scored 12 points and Jimmy Yablonski added 11.
Yablonski converted seven of eight free throw tries.
Blake will play PACT Charter School at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, at Blake's Hopkins campus gym.
