Blake School head coach Nick Rathmann assesses Rich as follows; "Chad's work ethic has set an example here at Blake that every other basketball player that comes through this program will have to try and live up to. He is a tireless worker, and proof that hard work can directly translate into success. Chad has earned every accomplishment, and I know his best days of basketball are still ahead of him. I'm most proud of him for his development as a person. He turned into the ideal captain, leading by example and encouraging teammates. Hamline is getting a very good basketball player, and great student, and an even better person."
