Head of School

Blake is an extraordinary school community. For 100 years, this School has been bringing dedicated and passionate teachers together with talented and inquisitive students in the classrooms, on the fields and in the studios with impressive results. In full partnership with parents, we work to foster in each individual child a love of learning, a strong sense of self and a responsibility to others.

Large enough overall to provide a breadth of academic, athletic, artistic and social opportunities, our three separate campuses allow us to create more intimate schools where every student is known by the adults. Committed to attracting and retaining the best faculty possible, informed by our belief in the importance of character in our work with young people, thoughtful in the design of a dynamic course of study, resolute in our efforts to create a pluralistic community and fortunate in having magnificent facilities, Blake is a very special place.

I am delighted you are interested in Blake and urge you to come to know us better. We are proud of what we do. It is in the best interest of all to have you make an informed decision about whether or not Blake is the best school for your family. We hope that the following pages will whet your appetite and that you'll want to learn more about us. After family, school can be the next most significant influence in your child's development and therefore choosing a school for your child is clearly a very important decision. Come meet our students, talk with our faculty, ask questions of our parents and sense first hand the spirit of Blake. We welcome you.
