Leaves Falling
Pigment on paper/direct transfer

One day during the early fall our printmaking class went outside and found interesting leaves. Then we laid them on the paper in a design we liked and used a hammer to transfer the pigment from the leaves directly to the paper. I set my leaves in a shape that I thought would look interesting and appealing to the eye. I found a few leaves that had a pink and green color that I really liked and used in my direct transfer. I titled this artwork Leaves Falling because we did this project in the fall when all the leaves were falling and i set up the leaves in a design that looks like they could be falling.
