Old Wood, New Steel
Black and White Silver Print
Once upon a time there was a wheelbarrow. It was a medium-sized wheelbarrow, not too big but not too small. It was old, too, old enough for cracked wood beneath cracked paint. In terms of a wheelbarrow, it was useless. Had someone attempted to fill it with dirt or manure, it surely would have creaked and groaned in protest. But somehow, in all its dirty, cracked splendor, this wheelbarrow was visually pleasing. Permanently parked in front of a new steel barn, the contrast between the old, fragile wood and the shiny corrugated metal was intriguing. So the wheelbarrow found itself immortalized in black and white, a silver print of contrast - old wood and new steel, side by side.
