Sharp
Ink on Paper
For this project, we broke vinyl records and glued them onto boards to be printed. When choosing colors, I used blue as a dominant cool color, and orange as a warm color. I chose these colors because I think they contrast each other and help the print stand out as a whole. I found a lot of sharp vinyl pieces that I used for my print. After choosing colors, we put the ink onto our boards using either a roller, our fingers, or both. I used my fingers when applying the ink to my design to get an even coat on each shape. To print our designs, we placed the boards on paper and put them through the etching press.
