Night During the Day
Black and White Silver Print

This print was done using the Sabattier technique, which is exposing the paper to a flash of light and uses a different developing pattern. In my test print, I liked many of the options, and I developed 5 of them. They were all very unique, and the solarization I chose this print because there was interesting detail in the snow, and the trees. This picture was taken during the day, and yet with the Sabbatier effect, it looks as though it is night. The trees look as if moonlight is shining on them and giving that glow to the edges, yet, when I took the picture sunlight was shining on the branches. This print is an abstraction of reality, because it looks as if it is night, when it day.
