Calhoun Square
Black and White Silver Print
For this shoot the class took a trip to uptown and shot without looking through the viewfinder. Most of my pictures were in focus but the main image of the picture was lopsided. I chose this photo because I love the huge uptown crown above the restaurant Figlio and how in the image it is accompanied by a stoplight. I think this is a very interesting image because of the blank space of the grey sky that separates the two objects. I developed this photo at F16 for 5 seconds after it got to dark at all other F stops. I decided not to use a filter because the images already seem to contrast with the sky and I didn't feel like there was a need to add more contrast. I spend a lot of time during the summer in the Calhoun Square area of Uptown and have never looked at these two objects in this way.
