Watch
Black and White Silver Print

When I developed my film I realized I had used the light meter incorrectly. That mistake left me with limited choices for prints. I chose this image because it represents my neighborhood. I like the contrast between both the shadows and the wall and between the nice houses and sign on the telephone pole in the middle. The sign in the center of the image reading "Watch for children" clearly describes the street that I live on because my neighborhood revolves around children. I titled the photo watch because of all the attention directed to the children. To develop this image I first made a test print where I exposed different parts of the image at the same light for different amounts of time. My working print was exposed at a light of F8 for ten seconds. I tried using a filter by making a split test print but I didn't like how any of the exposed sections turned out. In the end, the final image was exposed at F8 for ten seconds.
