God of the Reef
Black and White Silver Print
This picture was taken after my brother fell on a reef while he was surfing. He came out of the ocean and was bleeding on numerous parts of his body so I chose this picture for the Sabattier print because I thought that the effect would show a more godly side of an originally scary image. The double exposure brings out my brother more and makes him stand out from the rest of the image, almost as if he has conquered what ever was in the rest of the picture, in this case the ocean. Doing the Sabattier print was the most challenging project assigned yet because the test print never matched the prints that I tried to make off of it. It was also the most enjoyable project though because when I finally got the image that I was trying for, it was incredibly satisfying.
