Reflection in the Aviators
Black and White Silver Print

Her lips are ever so slightly curved into a smile as she stares directly into my camera. As far as I know, she is staring straight at me but her aviators cover up her face. I see her bed sheets in the reflection of her aviators through the camera lens. The floral puts the picture in a different mood. Her hair is pulled back in a messy bun and she fakes a smile to try and show happiness. Most people cannot succeed with a fake smile but she has mastered it. The day is dull, a rainy one, and the picture is dull as well, portraying a mood of sadness and content. This picture is my favorite out of the close-up and personal assignment because it shows a normal person, dressed in her everyday attire. Not some one who dressed up for a photo shoot so she can show all her friends how pretty she can become, but a person dressed in very comfortable clothes, who is showing the photography that she can be pretty with out trying.
