Monotone
Black and White Silver Print

As I began this photo shoot, I began as a finder. As the photo shoot progressed I found interest in taking pictures of the skylines that were close to my house. I positioned my camera at numerous different angles, trying to portray different styles. Originally this negative did not pull in my interest. I began working with other negatives trying to find the right F stop and the right amount of light to shed on the paper. The mood that I was trying to portray was one mood, with no other thoughts in the mind at all. Having the same mood through out the day is the way that many people feel during the wintertime. The mood is dull, and there is almost nothing to look forward to and then you begin to notice the details. As the details become more noticeable, the picture begins to pull itself together. The trees in the background are a blur, until you get to the tops and then you see details. The footprints in the snow show that some one has been there, that the ground has been walked on and that possibly your same thoughts have already been thought of. Staring at this picture can change your entire perspective on this one spot on Lake of the Isles.
