Strike a Pose
Black and White Silver Print
This photograph was taken before a dance. It has a fashion photography feel that is emphasized by Hannah who is also taking a picture. The stark white walls really offset the girls’ dark dresses. The light, although it is lighting up more of the sealing than the girls, almost puts a spotlight on the figures. For this photograph, I used a 3½ filter to slightly lighten the tones and improve the contrast between the very white walls and very dark floor, along with the dark dresses. This was taken for my emulation of Patrick Demarchelier’s work.
