This "Rule of Thirds" assignment is the first assignment in which we had specific instructions of how to create our composition. The idea is to think as if there were a tic-tac-toe board across the lens of the camera and place your point of interest, a definite vertical, definite horizontal, or an object, on a line or intersection of the tic-tac-toe board. The definite vertical in this picture is the pole of a street sign on my street, Edina Blvd. Many a time that street sign has been a sigh of relief to me. Whether it is after a five-hour car ride or just coming from an exhausting swim practice, that sign is always there to remind me that I am almost home.
