…and Then I Woke Up
Black and White Silver Print

My first Photogram meant nothing. I had trouble with incorporating meaning into the Photogram, this proved to be my greatest struggle7#133;at first. After I wrapped my mind around that, I had trouble choosing which idea I most wanted to reveal in my Photogram. My final Photogram represents the dream of what we wish life could be, and the reality of what life really is. Is life as simple as a circle? No. You have your perfect circles, but continuing along your path of normal everyday bobby pins, you trip and fall over some unknown feeling or object. But do you give up? No. You stand back up, learning from your experience. Why do we get back up? We know that somewhere in the future we are going to hit another rough spot. We stand and take a running leap because we know that somewhere along the road we are going to find another circle of hope.
