Mirror Image
Ink on Paper
This print was a two week long project in which my partner and I learned how to use the rainbow roller technique, and learned how to make designs on top of the rainbow roller base. Our goal was to make a print such mirror image that fits into the theme of punk rock. I feel that our print is consistent with that. It has clashes of color, spontaneous designs, and it looks wild and out of control. It also looks as though the designs exploded onto the rainbow roller base. The title is Mirror Image because even though it is very asymmetrical, both the red side and the green side are similar and have a common thread. This project built on the ground work of basic printmaking and used advanced concepts and techniques to further my understanding of what printmaking is an how to make a dynamic print that fits with a theme that has been assigned to us.
