Rainbow Portrait 1
Ink on Index Paper

This print was an extension off of my original portrait print. This was a very open project that encouraged independent thinking and creativity. The project assignment was to push the limits while using our original portrait screen. I felt like I did a fairly good job at pushing the boundaries. I used four colors, purple, orange, yellow and green-blue. I used purple and orange mixed on the top half and yellow and green-blue on the bottom half. I mixed the colors enough so that they would blend and overlap, but I kept them separate enough so that they would keep their specific color. I used tape stop the ink from going on to both halves while I did one half. The title is self-explanatory; it is my portrait with a lot of colors. I also named it rainbow portrait because it might grab attention of a viewer. I really liked this project and the freedom it gave me to explore with my printing.
